Feature Dependencies

The following table shows which office services and features must be installed for the office service or features in the table row to be installed.

The Add Roles and Features Wizard and Remove Roles and Features Magician of Server Manager take intendance of dependencies past prompting y'all to add dependencies when adding a role service or feature, or to remove dependencies when removing a role service or feature. However, when you lot install IIS using DISM, you demand to include in the DISM code any dependency that a role service or feature beingness installed has, or the installation will neglect, and you may not receive an indication why information technology failed.

When you lot remove a role service or feature, make sure that you practise non remove a service or characteristic that another service or feature has a dependency on. There tin can exist an intersection of dependencies, for example between ASP and ASP.NET. So if you lot were to remove ASP, and remove its feature dependencies, you lot could remove dependencies for ASP.NET, also.
